How do we differ?

How do we differ?

Our goal at Aesthetic Laundry has always been (and will always be) to be as transparent and clear as possible. Here are the top 5 ways we differ from the high street and bigger fashion brands.

The Factory
We have set it up ourselves, from scratch. Typically fashion brands use a middleman / company to oversee the sourcing of factories to produce their garments, depending on the type of garments required. This means that the brands very rarely know of the details within a factory and even more rarely have any contact with the factories themselves.

To have been able to by-pass the middle man so to speak is very rare. Don’t get us wrong…it would have been a lot easier to go through an existing company / agent, but a non-negotiable for us was ensuring we remained in control of / had access to the full supply chain. Without the contacts that we have made in the past year, this would never have been possible.

The Team
As mentioned above, a brand being in direct contact with the factory team is unusual. We have face to face interaction with the team making the garments, without relying on a middle man to act as the go between. It allows us to be responsible for all our team members, whether based in the UK or abroad. We are one team, regardless of location.

The Production
Because we control the factory, we are able to work with the team on very small quantities of each product. Typically businesses will have to place a minimum order quantity (MOQ) which is often thousands of units (if you have ever wondered why the highstreet constantly has sales…this should answer it for you), however by collaborating with other brands that fall within the umbrella company LIAR BRANDS*, we are able to provide the team with enough work without over ordering on stock.

The garments
Collaboratively working with the other brands that fall under the LIAR BRANDS* umbrella, we have been able to purchase a wide range of machinery that will enable us to bring you a bigger selection of products. Think buttons, zips, new fabrics…the world is becoming our oyster! Lots more to share with you on designs soon!!

Size inclusivity
Reluctance for inclusive sizing often stems from the cost. The more sizes you offer, the more units you have to purchase from the factory, thus your cost goes up. Because we don’t have MOQ’s, we can dictate how many garments in each of our sizes we would like to produce and therefore are still able to offer XXS - 5XL across all our designs.
